Stain Busters History
Dave Huntoon, founder of Stain Buster’s Carpet Tile & Upholstery Cleaning, started in the carpet business in 1972 at the age of 12. While working weekends and after school, Dave started his own floor covering company at age 18. He traveled around the United States for two years installing floor coverings in various states. He met his wife in Florida and stayed there for one year while starting a business in Florida, Sun City Custom Carpets.
When he returned to California he started two more companies, Dave’s Carpet Center and Stain Buster’s Carpet Cleaning. In 1992, he sold Dave’s Carpet Center. Since that time he has started the franchise process Registering Stain Buster’s Carpet Cleaning with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office and finishing franchise agreements and systemizing Stain Buster’s. Dave has admirations of taking Stain Buster’s Nationwide. He is a California State licensed Flooring Contractor,General Building Contractor, a certified Mold and Sewage Remediation Contractor and a Water Damage Contractor. Dave began training his son Jason and at age of six years old he has worked with him for 15 years. Jason is also IICRC Certified and has dreams of taking Stain Buster’s to the next level with his dad as his partner.
